Life on the Road

Monday, October 5th, 2009

Save Deth Life has been amazing the past 2 weeks. For me, I’ve been on the road for Duncan doing demos and teaching in Missouri, Colorado, Utah and Nevada. Traveling is one of the things in life that really gets me excited. Seeing places I’ve never seen, visiting places I’ve never been.

Colorado has been the most memorable place so far. I haven’t been there since I was 12 or so. Denver was actually the place I bought my first bearing yo-yo. Colorado is beautiful. Words and pictures can’t describe the grandeur of the Rockies. The other great thing was being able to spend time with Jen Kori and Jon Gates, two players I’ve wanted to get to know for way to long. Jon’s stories of the past 20 years of working in the yo-yo industry are always great. And hanging out till all hours of the night with Jen geeking out about yo-yo never gets old.

So as I sit half way across the country from home, surrounded by some of the best players in the world (Pat, Miggy, Kota, Yuuki, Gashek, Tyler, etc) Dave is settling into a whole new life as well. Marriage.

On September 20th, Dave and Mariah tied the knot. To be a part of such a happy day for two of my closest friends is an honor. Here’s to many great years and lots of memories.

Volume 2: Joey Fleshman Preview

Friday, July 17th, 2009

For our first trailer of Volume 2 we’re showing you part of Joey Fleshman’s feature.

Joey has been our little brother from the beginning. From the first time we met him, he was nothing but awesome. I’m proud to have watched him grow from a long, curly haired boy into a crew cut military man. Joey has always possessed an amazing and unique style that is both technical and elegant. From his trick construction to his wide spread hand, nothing but the best comes out of Joey’s throws.

Without further ado, we proudly present, Save Deth Volume 2: Joey Fleshman
